Welcome Reception and Dinner

The BSNR welcome reception will be held in the historic Merchant Adventurers Hall in the centre of York. This building was constructed to house social and business functions of mediaeval merchants and support their trade in the city of York. The hall contains many original artifacts gathered over the years including pictures, silverware and furnishings. The hall has been in continuous use since its construction in 1357, still hosting many varied events, including a regular Viking festival.

A reception will be held in the undercroft with dinner upstairs. Evening entertainment will be provided.

Saturday 8th October

Conference Dinner

 (included in registration)

The National Railway Museum (Winner of VisitYork tourism awards 2014 and Tripadvisor Traveller’s choice awards 2013) will host the 2016 Conference Dinner. Guests will be received on Platform 1 (check) with a drinks reception and time will be given to view the exhibits before the meal amongst the historic carriages in the Station Hall.

Evening entertainment will be provided.

No formal partner activities have been arranged but York is replete with accessible, interesting and varied activities to suit all tastes.
